A pastor
decides to give back. He opened a church in the town he grew up in New Haven;
He says he would like to make Jesus famous in New Haven. Out of the 130,000
residents most of the New Haven residents have not giving their life’s to
Christ therefore having no relations with Christ, but Pastor Felix Quinones has
a vision and that’s to get more of the residents familiar with the Savior.
Everyone did not understand the church efforts but, the recur ting for the first
service was very effective. Pastor Quinones says he wants rich or poor, young
or old, share in the word that’s why he chose New Haven. The Church has no
proclaimed denomination, but was taught Pentecostal. The church has focus on
their outreach efforts by throwing a fair for the children in the community.
Quinons had served at several churches before becoming the leader in New Haven.
He has been reaching out to the community for a good few months since August of
2012. The frist service was hold at a ball room in on Crown Street where it is
known for its nite life. The frist was counted as having 102 present including
children. Maidmen says the city is full of churches but the people are still
unreached. She decided to stand on a corner while the city was throwing a St Patrick
day parade and ask people to come and have fellowship with Journey Church. New
haven frist Christian service was record to be April 18, 1638.
